[212]

I'm going to start writing things I've learned while painting the things I post. That should be more useful than writing nothing at all.

Thing learned: Dark colors can get really bright and light colors can get really dark. Also warm and cool darks can exist within close range on the same object.

I couldn't get the journal to sit right, but it was interesting painting something that is meant to be brown, mostly blue and green instead.

Holy crap I am rusty after not painting for a few days. The surface was covered in a plastic film which made it reflective.  It did this cool thing where the shadow was super cookie cut out and the reflection of the toy was completely contained inside of it. I'll definitely be painting more on reflective surfaces. They are challenging and fun. Pochade box is almost done. I'll post pictures later.
