Oftentimes I don't notice things about my paintings until I take photos of them. All the blemishes become so apparent. For example, I really dislike all the background smudges around the foreground. What's that all about?

I haven't been posting on Thursdays because I've been taking a Machining class at night. I'm learning how to use a mill and a lathe. So far I've made an aluminum cup and a small brass hammer. I cut all the metal parts. Here are some photos!
