Painting plums is so much fun! I was painting straight from the alizarin tube on these.

I had to do this one fast because I took so long setting it up. I usually only have about 2 hours to paint Friday mornings and I also decided to paint BIG (8"x10"). I had to use a big brush and make quick decisions. While painting this, I discovered the amazing versatility of the color pink. Before I had mostly mixed cad red light, cad yellow, and white to get my light fabric color, but the pink instead of cad red just makes it look fresher and peachier. I really enjoyed dabbing the peachy color over top of the periwinkle shadow.
