I am 23 years old and I want to become a respectable artist.
A long time ago I dreamed of doing concept work for movies and games. I was so motivated to become an artist that I drew my own comic books to study storytelling, composition, design, and directing. I think I got pretty good at draftsmanship, but even then I knew I wasn't great with lighting and color. Since then, other interests have led me astray and I was never able to get to the level I so admired in other artists. I hope to use this blog as a way of enforcing self discipline and to document my progress. I'm going to try really hard to post a new painting every day whether it's good, bad, or really bad. I'm not expecting to become a concept artist here, this is mostly for my own sense of fulfillment!
