I'm having a hard time painting bright oranges. I had trouble with this in the melon painting I did on friday as well. It looked bright when I first put the color down, but then when I started to fill in the shadows it all evened out. I think I'll try exaggerating the shadow areas.

This is the first I've painted still life flowers (fake). Painting flowers is really hard. Painting rocks in a vase filled with water is also hard. I struggled a lot with this one.
